Research on Ballistic limit model for a typical 93W ball-Q235 steel plate projectile target system

Abstract A representative and most commonly used ballistic target system consisting of a 93W ball Q235 steel plate is investigated for its limit fast calculation engineering model. The basic data on the material projectile was obtained through quasi-static compression tests mechanical properties materials. Using Φ12.7mm gun ten shot v50 method, were carried out with balls positively penetrating plates v 50 3g 6mm 8mm thick respectively. Based Autodyn platform, numerical simulation model intruding established accuracy verified using test data. On this basis, range extended to obtain total 34 working conditions masses between 1 6g thicknesses 2 12mm, intrusion into by multiple linear regression. Comparative analysis other models shows that resulting has greater applicable speeds, higher practicality. results research can provide methods tools design warhead power, protection, assessment destructive effectiveness weapons ammunition.
